Welcome Letter
Welcome, Brothers!
We’re so glad you joined the 2026 Men’s Retreat.
This year, our theme is ENDURE, which comes from 1 Corinthians 15:58.
Paul says to the Corinthians,
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
There are seasons when following Christ feels joyful and full, and others when faithfulness feels difficult. We can grow weary in our work, responsibilities, our health, and/or relationships. Sometimes it feels like our best is simply not enough.
This retreat reminds us that simply trying harder or being better is not the ultimate call. The Gospel reminds us that our endurance is rooted in the God who preserves His people. We look to our older brother and Lord Jesus, who endured the Cross and died for our sins; we look to the One who rose from the grave, and defeated death. And so, because Jesus lives, our hope is secure and we can face tomorrow. We endure because Christ has already won.
From the leadership here at Kindred to you, our prayer is this: that each of us would be encouraged and strengthened in the Gospel.
Over these few days, we’ll step away from the battles of life to ground ourselves through worship, hearing God’s Word, prayer. And we also ask the Holy Spirit to refresh us as we laugh, eat, and enjoy fellowship with Kindred brothers of a variety of life stages.
So, wherever you’re coming from, we pray that this retreat reminds you again of the faithfulness of Christ and the hope we have in Him. And may this strengthen you to endure all the more.
May we leave this weekend refreshed, encouraged by one another, and strengthened to remain steadfast and immovable in the Lord.
Welcome to ENDURE. We’re grateful you’re here.
In Christ,
Kindred Presbyterian Church
